ڪيترا نقاد ۽ عالم صحافتي لکڻين کي ادب نٿا مڃين، پر ان جي باوجود پوري دنيا اندر صحافي، جيڪا روزانه جاکوڙ ڪن ٿا، اها اڳتي هلي ادب جي تاريخ ٿيو پوي. موجوده دؤر ۾ صحافت ئي ڪنھن ٻوليءَ جي لغت کي زندھھ جاويد رکڻ جو وسيلو آھي، ھڪ سڄاڻ صحافي پنھنجي ادارين، ڪالمن، فيچرن ۽ مضمونن ۾ ٻوليءَ جي سرمايي مان موزون لفظ ۽ اصطلاح چونڊي ٿو. صحافي اڄ ۽ هاڻي لکي ٿو، اديب به هاڻي لکي ٿو. صحافي تڪڙ ۾ لکي ٿو، مگر اديب آرام سان لکي ٿو. اديب جي هڪ وڏي خوبي اها آهي ته هو پنهنجي دؤرجا بهترين خيال بهترين لفظن ۾ سهڻي نموني سان محفوظ ڪري ٿو. اديب ۽ صحافي پنهنجي روز جي سچي روح کي محفوظ ڪري ٿو، ان ۾ سماجي ، سياسي ۽ معاشي جهلڪيون نظر اچن ٿيون. وقت جي رفتار سان جيئن جيئن زبان جي ترقي ٿيندي آهي ته ادب جي به ترقي ٿيندي آهي.
